Find the Family Space at: https://www.thefamilyspace.org.nz/ Located in the heart of Miramar, Wellington, The Family Space is a play care centre that strives to support and strengthen the families in this community. With its focus on building relationships, The Family Space offers a safe and friendly environment where family life is encouraged and nurtured. The playgroups on offer are an informal and relaxed way to meet other families. 'The Family Space' project was a website and social media redesign for this community organisation. This involved the editorial conversion of textual elements from a legacy site. Also, the vectorisation of existing graphics and the generation of additional visual content. The web platform WIX was selected as an ideal development tool for this endeavour, due to its low technical barrier to entry, which enables staff to make subsequent edits to the website in a safe manner as required. The final product is responsive, providing accessibility from desktop, tablet and mobile devices. It is my hope that this conversion will continue to boost the image and digital presence of this community Non-profit and its worthwhile mission of supporting and strengthening families.
